MY Story

Welcome to my website. My name is Greg Hadley. Born and raised in Upstate New York, I have been driven by passion my entire life. I attended Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and graduated a Studio Arts major while starting at linebacker for 3 of my 4 years. Painting, drawing, tackling, and shedding blocks were my main focus for that time at Colgate. Immediately upon graduation, I was hired as a college football coach which has been my profession for that past 11 years. Because of my job, I was able to live in incredible places in New York and travel throughout the state, the Northeast, and the rest of the country. Being a coach is extremely fulfilling (yes, it is a full-time job and yes, I still have plenty of work to do molding young men outside of the season), and has kept me driven and passionate in every facet of my life. I always found time to create while working 16-20 hour days, continuing to paint, draw, and DIY. I took a job in Massachusetts a few years ago and luckily fell in love with a South Shore girl. My wife Ali and I have since relocated back to the Finger Lakes Region, but not before I started diving into woodworking.
College football coaching is a volatile profession: coaches and their staffs are hired and fired regularly. After falling victim to a coaching change in MA, I started to create and design more often to stay busy and stay sharp while searching for work at the same time. I purchased a circular saw and some nails, watched every instructional video I could find, and started building. Since that time, my hobby has bloomed into a full-blown obsession.
Ali and I purchased a house and renovated it on our own. We messed up quite a bit, but learned from the process. I’ve talked with master tradesmen, read books, listened to podcasts, tried and failed, tried again. My experience has allowed me the opportunity to renovate and design other people’s homes and create custom furniture and fixtures for their spaces. My background in the arts, the work-ethic from my profession, and my constant passion-fueled drive have allowed me to now turn my hobby into a business.
